My last few posts have made references to attending rugby games – a little out of character, given that I’ve been a staunch supporter of Sunderland AFC for my whole life. This past weekend, I was at the Saracens vs Exeter Chiefs match to see the Sarries’ final match at Vicarage Road.

Saturday, January 28 2012 saw TNA return to Wembley Arena for their fourth “Maximum Impact” show… a show that was switched to a TV taping about three weeks beforehand. Two episodes of Impact, which will air in the first two weeks of February on Spike TV in the US and on Challenge TV in the UK. Spoilers – albeit badly-written, done on a phone as the show went on – lie after the break… (more…)
“Another year, another version, not many changes” – that’s the usual mantra surrounding the annual release of sporting video games. Whether it’s the NFL, NBA, wrestling, NHL, or football, the quickest way to cash in on those fans is to release a new game every year, with slightly improved graphics and an up-to-date roster. It’s been a while since I sat down and put fingers to keyboard on a blog entry here. Since my last update, I’ve been a little busy – starting work on a new book project (check it out over at www.wrestlingrulebook.com – hoping to get this out in the next year at least, if not in time for Christmas 2012 without putting any dates in stone!), and also finally releasing my first book on Amazon Kindle.
